The Freedom Book

Dear Revolutionaries:

Welcome to my world and to my book, I am – Absolute Freedom.

I am silviamick, I am a self-published author, and here’s my project: let’s get together to create a global movement of whole and unapologetic people united by a common slogan -> This world needs a Revolution. You & I are the chosen ones.

What you are about to read is the Manifesto of a generation, a public declaration of intentions, a powerful and brutal call to wake people up from their sleep, urging them to resist the brainwashing and reject the world's established “Program” in favor of their own. And it’s also an ode to personal freedom, respect, equality, tolerance, and justice.

So get ready for an unapologetic, revolutionary, straightforward, no-bullshit, honest to the bone, fearless, ass-kicking, controversial, original, and “offensive” book which never fails to arouse a strong reaction.

I hated myself most of my life. I despised my body and my whole being so much that I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror and I used to punish myself tearing my hair and eyebrows out. I’ve always felt a huge potential burning, kicking and screaming inside of me, but all I expressed to the world were uneasiness, shyness, silent rage, and resentment for what I knew I deserved but the world didn’t give me, and all I got were kicks in the face.
And then, all of the sudden, there went the trauma, the big shit that cannot go unnoticed, the most cruel, subtle, enlightening and perfect trick life could possibly play on me, timing and strategic like only fate can be. And after that the big change, my own personal Revolution, years of struggle to be finally able to release that potential, to polish that diamond I have inside, to make it shine and dazzle everybody around, to inspire them.

That's the reason why I'm here, still alive: I'm here to be myself, always and completely, in good and bad, and to follow the flow. I'm here to overcome all of my limits, especially the self-imposed ones, the worst of all, the others are way simpler to eradicate. I'm here to smash the walls that I have built for myself and to tell everybody it IS possible to do that. To say to everyone that the one and major difference between someone who makes it and someone who doesn't is very simple: the former gives it a try. More success, less success, that's not the point. The point is doing what you love to do, living your dream, no matter what it is or how many people share your ideas. The point is being yourself, following your guts, dreaming the impossible dream and working on it to make it real, walking the path you are meant to walk on, your very personal Hall of Fame. To say to everyone that the sky is not the limit, it’s just another launching pad.
In the meantime, I’ve shed 50+ pounds and I’ve learned that I CAN turn my dreams into reality. I got so many proofs of this throughout my life.

This is my book. This is my Revolution. This is me.
But this is also you, and the world, and life itself.

I am – Absolute Freedom is also a rock opera, blasting with quotes from Metallica, Incubus, Pantera, Linkin’ Park, Alanis Morrisette, Marilyn Manson, The Cure, U2, Limp Bizkit, Eddie Vedder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Rage Against the Machine, and Italian bands like Afterhours and Subsonica (yes, I’m Italian. I wrote my book in English because my message deserves to be spread worldwide).

And it’s an amazing ride through modern culture, its myths, its contradictions, its unbearable hypocrisy, and phony politically correctness, scattered with classic quotes from Zen to Joyce, from Plato to Grey’s Anatomy, from Coelho to Hafiz to Sylvia Plath.
Each chapter title is inspired by movies, songs, quotes, books, etc.
So let’s play a game: try and guess the original source!
